VIETNAM UNPLANNED TRIP.

Note to yourself, everytime u do things not accordingly, you are totally in mess !

I am quite sure everytime people 'google' about any trip and tips to travel, we are very particular about the cost, budget the most, come next what to do and where to go, right ? Hive-5 !
So here lemme straightly go to the budget and costing first.

TOTAL                                                      - RM410

Accommodation

Tulips Saigon Hotel 5 days 4 nights        - RM360
(booked through Agoda.com)

Miscellaneous: Mekong Trip                   -RM70
Foods for 5 days                                       -RM100
Taxi from/to Airport                               -RM80

ROUGHLY GRAND TOTAL                   -RM1020

TIPS
I apparently not suggesting people to stay at tulips' due to no choices for breakfast, as I only had bread, scrambled egg and butter for the whole 5 days. yes u heard me right. the room is just okay. But if your main purpose of visiting Vietnam for shopping, don't. The distance from the Ben Than Market is 10minutes walking and you might get lost in between.

Normal awkward pose upon arriving.

SHOPPING TIPS IN BENH THAN MARKET AND CHINATOWN

Please allocate 1-2 days for 'window shopping', survey between these two attractions if you are a first timer. Like I myself did, I went to Benh Than on the arrival day, and Chinatown on the next day. So I got myself cleared on the prices of course, we concern about this, I mean hey sure lah I nak beli benda yang muroh-muroh kan ? Hehe. Benh Than Market sangat-sangat hilang akal harga yg mereka offer at first. Anddddd please bear in mind, DON'T ASK IF YOU DON'T HAVE INTENTION TO BUY. Aiyooo, awek-awek Vietnam sangat phd dalam memaksa. I can say that sellers kat Chinatown offer way cheaper. Maksudnya mereka tak main harga, cthnya kain lace yg you can get rm20/meter di Chinatown, kat Benh Than Market dia akan ckp semeter rm50. Nangis mak nok. Baik mak beli Jakel sajoo. Unfortunately Chinatown xbyk choices :( Oh yaa, if you are planning for tailoring baju kurung moden and jubah or even for kids, please tempah di sini. Much cheaper :).

How to reach Chinatown? By bus and taxi. For taxi maybe the higher they can charge is 70k dong, equal to RM15. But I prefer by bus since mak duit seciput. 5k dong only, RM1. From Benh Than Market, area kedai makan Hjh Bashiroh, go straight, then turn right. Jalan jaaaa sampai nampak roundabout, (sini lintas jln ibarat mcm nak bunuh diri), there you go the bus station, and please take Bus No.1. Masa kat stesen bus tu, I was lost jgk sebab bila kita tanya for info, they can't really understand and xbg kerjasama pon. Not friendly huh. Nasib baik jumpa a group of Thailand tourists, and this one girl told me she was on the same way too. Yeay, I folo! Sampai sana pun I act like hmm kemon I tau jln lahh haha, padahal folo this group sampai jumpa Chinatown. Chinatown memang crowded habissss as I understand mostly sellers di Benh Than ambik stock dari sini. Maksudnya it acts like warehouse kot ?

Enough with the talking nok, let enjoice the pictures.

Lace di Benh Than, harga buka RM80 with 2 mtrs lining, but di Chinatown surprisingly you can get lace RM20/meter and lining RM6/meters, which makes it only RM64 ONLY.

Ready made Jubahs, price started at RM40. I cryyyy. So mughoh

Cotton Galoreeeee ! A shop opposite Benh Than Market. U will definitely die by the choices.

Come to foods, makanan mahaiiii noks. I spent roughly RM30 per day just for a plate of rice. So maksudnya makan nasik coma sehari doang. U can choose few restaurants based on your preferences but if money does matter, do visit this Green House restaurant. Apparently nasi goreng seafood will charge you about VD109k, equals to RM22, tapi di sini cheaper, VD90K+. Find them on www.halalsaigongreenhouse.com

Making some connection during Mekong Trip. The tour package can be found from the hotel, mostly hotels there have the package, mine was VD350k, RM70. Tour by bus, pick up at the hotel, lunch and two islands visit, they served you some local fruit, rambutan, papayas, and i lupa dah what else. kuikui.

Ok last but not least,

IMPORTANT TIPS

  1. Jangan tukar duit di Aiport Vietnam. Mahal. Tukar duit di Benh Than Market. Muroh banyiok
  2. Cuba Vietnam Kopi, saya mati kesedapan. Tapiiiii takyah la beli kopi kat night market tu, bila balik Malaysia, tak sedap macam depa bancuh hohoh
  3. Jangan tangkap gambar di Airport Vietnam. Diva okay.
  4. Please be at the airport at least 2 hours before departure, the security is quite strict dan ramai orang dan macam jauh jugak jalan
  5. Please bawak empty mineral bottle, toilet di sini esp airport takdok paip hockay. Jgn la tak basuh lepas menunaikan hajat kecil atau pun besar :D
